Our Mission

At White Brick, our heartbeat is to love the orphan by coming alongside the mothers and families who step into the world of foster care and adoption. These women step bravely into brokenness, becoming vessels the Lord uses to remind children—and themselves—of His constant nearness.

We believe home can be lovely, even in the midst of chaos and need, because God is always at work.

Through every purchase, you help us live this out:

  • Prayer cards are created and sent to mothers in the foster care community, wrapping them in encouragement.

  • Candles with purpose are placed in the hands of agencies and families, serving as daily reminders of prayer, hope, and connection.

Our mission is simple yet sacred: to bring light, prayer, and beauty into the lives of those caring for the vulnerable, so no one feels they walk this road alone.

How It Started

Foster care and adoption have always been the heartbeat of owner, Lauren’s life. Long before she married Mark, her heart for the orphan was strong—it was a nonnegotiable. As a teacher and later Kids Ministry director, children have always have been central.

Soon after their wedding, the two became respite providers and quickly fell in love with two little boys. Their family began with the birth of their first biological child, and later they began the path of adoption. That journey was halted, however, as they walked through a season of grief and loss.

Years passed. Two more boys, 1 heavenly baby, a few gray hairs, and countless life lessons later, they unexpectedly welcomed another little one into their home. Through it all, one truth remained constant: children matter. They matter to the heart of God, and they matter to the heart of this business.

In prayer, Lauren asked the Lord how she might use the business He had entrusted to her. His answer was clear—He could use it as a “light” for His kingdom in the world of foster care and adoption. This vision is not Lauren’s—it is the Lord’s.

With the help of gifted friends and faithful hearts, White Brick seeks to steward this calling well: to encourage mothers in the thick of foster care and adoption, and to hold out hope in the midst of brokenness.

What an honor it is to join Him in this work.
